What is YVC??
The Youth Volunteer Corps offers community service opportunities to middle and high school students ages 11-18 throughout Indian River County. Each team of youth is led by a trained Team Leader at each project to ensure good behavior, safety, and success. Some of our projects include working with seniors, assisting adults with disabilities, planning and working community events, participating in area clean-ups, assisting at animal refuges, and working with children in the Boys and Girls Clubs. In addition, YVC runs a community outreach program called B.A.S.E.S (Bringing After-School Educational Services) which provides mentoring programs to elementary kids in the form of tutoring, reading, and other various educational activities.
